Use of Images

If you are having difficulty deciding whether your intended use is appropriate, or whether you require written permission, you should seek the advice of your own copyright attorney. If you or your attorney determine you are required by law to obtain copyright permission, you may request permission for redistribution through the appropriate owner of the subject materials. If, on the other hand, you or your attorney determine it is permissible to proceed and include clip art from a E-ComWorks® web sites, we do ask that you correctly designate our trademark(s) when referring to our product(s) in the notice or copyright portion of your paper, project, or product.

Characters
Characters from Cyber-Dyne, Inc. are under exclusive license and cannot be used in any way by third parties.  If you wish to use a character contained in a Cyber-Dyne, Inc. product, please Submit a Request to Use Images.

Clip Art
In some instances, Cyber-Dyne, Inc. cannot specifically grant permission for end users to reproduce clip art from E-ComWorks® web sites, because clip art in those products may be owned by third parties and licensed to Cyber-Dyne, Inc. Ownership of the clip art may be cited in the product. Submit a Request to Use Images.

Photographs
In some instances, photographs within E-ComWorks® web sites are licensed to Cyber-Dyne, Inc. and we do not have the right to authorize commercial use or redistribution of the photos. You should contact the copyright owner directly. If Cyber-Dyne, Inc. is identified as the copyright owner, you should Submit a Request to Use Images.

Icons
Cyber-Dyne, Inc. does not generally allow the use of our icons in advertising, in books and other printed matter, on clothing or other promotional items, online and internet locations, in software applications, in television programs, commercials, movies, or on video tape, as they are NOT to be used as "artwork" or design elements. EXCEPTIONS: Written permission may be granted if the use is strictly tutorial in nature, where the use of our icons is specific to the function of the icons within Cyber-Dyne, Inc. products (e.g., an article, book, software product, or video which is an instructional tool on how to use a product). Examples are always required and you should Submit a Request to Use Images.

Web Sites
Generally, Cyber-Dyne, Inc. does not object to parties making referential links to E-ComWorks® web sites . However, we prefer that any reference to our company name or product names appear in a simple font and format and that you use appropriate words, such as "This way to E-ComWorks.com" or "Click here for more information on E-ComWorks®". You may not use the E-ComWorks® logo on its own, nor any other Cyber-Dyne, Inc. graphic or logo to make these links.

Logos
Unless you are licensed by Cyber-Dyne, Inc. under a specific licensing program, use of E-ComWorks® logos are not allowed. If you are interested in using an E-ComWorks® logo on your web site to create a link to the web site, see Web Sites above.

Screen Shots
Cyber-Dyne, Inc. does not object to third party use of screen shots of our software products in advertising, on product packaging and documentation, in books and other printed matter, on video tape, in tutorial software applications, on World Wide Web pages, or in television programs, commercials, movies ("Your Product"), so long as the use is not disparaging and falls within the definition of "fair use" under International and/or United States Copyright law, as applicable and provided you adhere to additional guidelines which may be amended from time to time. If your use falls within these guidelines, no further written permission will be required and will not be forthcoming.
